Shipping policy

1. Processing Time
•     Orders are processed within 1–2 business days.
•     Live larvae orders may require additional time depending on availability and weather conditions.
•     You will receive a confirmation message once your order is packed and ready for pickup or shipment.

2. Shipping Methods
We ship using:
•     USPS Ground Advantage (recommended for live larvae)
•     USPS Priority Mail
•     Local pickup or delivery (when available)
Shipping method is selected based on:
•     Product type
•     Distance
•     Weather conditions
•     Customer preference

3. Live Larvae Shipping Policy
Live BSFL are sensitive to temperature, handling, and carrier delays.
We guarantee live arrival ONLY when:
•     Temperatures are between 45°F and 90°F
•     The customer retrieves the package within 1 hour of delivery
•     The customer provides correct address information
•     The customer sends photos/videos within 24 hours if there is an issue
We cannot guarantee live arrival when:
•     Temperatures are outside the safe range
•     Packages are left outside, in mailboxes, or in hot vehicles
•     Carrier delays occur (USPS, UPS, etc.)
•     The customer misses delivery attempts
All live insect sales are final, but we may offer partial credit or a discounted replacement if the issue is due to our packing.

4. Dried Larvae Shipping Policy
Dried BSFL are stable and ship well year‑round.
Eligible for replacement if:
•     The package arrives damaged
•     The wrong item was shipped
•     You report the issue within 7 days
Not eligible for return:
•     Opened or used product
•     Customer storage issues (moisture, contamination)

5. Frass Shipping Policy
Frass is a natural fertilizer and may vary in texture or moisture.
Eligible for replacement if:
•     The bag arrives torn or leaking
•     The wrong product was shipped
•     You report the issue within 7 days
Not eligible for return:
•     Opened or partially used frass
•     Natural variations in color, smell, or texture

6. Incorrect Address or Delivery Issues
We are not responsible for:
•     Incorrect or incomplete addresses
•     Packages marked “delivered” by the carrier
•     Lost or stolen packages
If a package is returned to us due to an incorrect address, the customer is responsible for reshipping costs.

7. Weather Holds
To protect live insects, we may delay shipping during:
•     Extreme heat
•     Freezing temperatures
•     Severe storms
Customers will be notified of any weather‑related delays.

8. Local Pickup
Local pickup is available by appointment.
Orders not picked up within 24 hours may be canceled or rescheduled.

9. Tracking Information
Once your order ships, you will receive a tracking number.
Please monitor your shipment to ensure timely retrieval, especially for live larvae.

If you experience a problem with your order, contact us within:
•     24 hours for live larvae
•     7 days for dried larvae or frass
Include:
•     Name
•     Order number
•     Photos or video of the issue
We respond within 24 hours.
