Black Soldier Fly Larvae (BSFL) are nutrient‑rich, high‑protein larvae used for animal feed and natural soil products. They convert organic waste into valuable resources like dried larvae for feed and frass for gardening. BSFL are sustainable, clean, and efficient, making them ideal for chickens, reptiles, fish, and eco‑friendly agriculture.
Frass is a natural, organic fertilizer made from the digested material produced by Black Soldier Fly Larvae (BSFL). It’s rich in nutrients, beneficial microbes, and natural chitin, which help improve soil structure, boost root development, and support stronger, healthier plant growth. Frass is clean, safe, and ideal for gardens, lawns, vegetables, flowers, and indoor plants.
Yes. Our frass is naturally produced by Black Soldier Fly Larvae (BSFL) and contains no chemicals, fillers, or additives. It’s fully organic, filtered, dried, and ready to use as a clean, nutrient‑rich fertilizer for gardens, lawns, vegetables, flowers, and indoor plants.
Frass is simple to apply. Spread it directly on the soil, mix lightly, and water afterward so the nutrients activate and reach the roots. Here’s the exact way to use it:
For potted plants:
- Sprinkle 1–2 tablespoons on top of the soil.
- Gently mix it into the first 1–2 inches of soil.
- Water normally to help the frass absorb and activate.
For garden plants & vegetables:
- Apply 1–2 cups around the base of each plant.
- Lightly rake or mix it into the soil so it doesn’t sit on top.
- Water the area to help nutrients move into the root zone.
For lawns:
- Spread 1–2 lbs per 100 sq ft evenly across the grass.
- Water the lawn after spreading to help the frass settle into the soil.
For indoor plants:
- Use 1 tablespoon per pot.
- Mix gently and water lightly (don’t overwater indoor plants).
How often to use it:
- Apply every 2–4 weeks for best results.
Extra tip:
Frass will not burn plants, so you don’t need to dilute it or mix it with other fertilizers.
Yes. Frass is completely safe for vegetables, fruits, herbs, and all edible plants. It’s a natural, organic fertilizer with no chemicals or additives. Because it’s gentle and won’t burn plants, you can apply it directly to the soil, mix lightly, and water afterward. Gardeners use frass to improve soil health, boost root growth, and support stronger, healthier vegetable production.
